CASE STUDY

Flowfinity Announces Case Study Showcasing Electronic Retail Audit Solution for H.J. Heinz
Case Study Shows How Heinz Uses Wireless Technology to Gain Retail Advantage

June 28, 2006
Vancouver, BC

Flowfinity Wireless, a leading provider of wireless application products and platforms, today announced the publication of a case study on the business benefits of the deployment of Flowfinity Actions 4 with H.J. Heinz, a global food company that sells products in more than 50 countries.

Flowfinity Actions is a comprehensive "out-of-the-box" application for automating the business processes that field forces are engaged in and dynamically keeping management informed of both the status of individual tasks and with comprehensive reporting of the impact of the field force on the business as a whole. Flowfinity is designed for use with BlackBerry® from Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM).

At Heinz, Flowfinity Actions was selected and deployed to wireless automate Retail Audits for the purpose of speeding up and improving the quality of score card information they gathered about Heinz brands in retail stores. The existing paper-based system was slow, with considerable lag time between completing a store audit and reporting the findings to sales executives.

"It was relatively simple to match up everything the Retail Business Managers did with a paper audit to an electronic format using Flowfinity Actions." Said Eric Ginsburg, Associate Manager of Sales Operations, “With reports that are highly customized to our business needs, our Retail Business Managers have insight to what is happening at the store level and have an opportunity to act quickly to capitalize on opportunities to increase our overall selling power."

Using Flowfinity Actions 4, Heinz received business benefits in four key areas:
1. More audits with better data collected;
2. Faster access to detailed reports;
3. Improved decision-making that builds retail advantage; and
4. Ability to influence performance at the store level.

"Flowfinity Actions is designed to provide the fully integrated capability that companies like Heinz are seeking for managing business processes with mobile teams." said Larry Wilson, Vice President Sales & Marketing of Flowfinity Wireless. "In particular, the ability for rapid feedback from the field and timely insights into the retail channel are especially valuable for Fast Moving Consumer Goods companies."
